Betsy offers one-on-one caregiver support coaching to help caregivers manage the daily challenges of helping a loved one through an illness while staying healthy, connected, and whole.
What is caregiver support coaching?
Caregiver support coaching is a specialized form of coaching that provides emotional support, practical guidance, and stress management strategies to individuals caring for loved ones with chronic illness, disabilities, or aging-related conditions.
A caregiver support coach helps clients with:
- Emotional resilience stress management: Coping tools for dealing with frustration, grief, and mental health challenges associated with caregiving.
- Nervous System Regulation: Techniques like breathwork, mindfulness, and brain retraining to help manage stress and autonomic dysfunction.
- Self-care and boundaries – Guidance on maintaining personal well-being while providing care.
- Time management and organization – Creating schedules, prioritizing tasks, and finding balance.
- Communication skills – Navigating conversations with family, healthcare providers, and support systems.
- Resource navigation and advocacy – Understanding treatment options, medical services, and caregiving tools.
- Grief and emotional processing – Support in managing loss, role changes, and difficult emotions.
- Lifestyle Adjustments: Guidance on sleep, movement, nutrition, and pacing for self-care.
Who can benefit from caregiver support coaching?
Caregiver support coaching is ideal for:
- Family caregivers (caring for elderly parents, spouses, or children with disabilities).
- Professional caregivers (nurses, home aides, hospice workers).
- Parents of medically complex children.
- Individuals supporting loved ones with dementia, chronic illness, or mental health conditions.
How caregiving support coaching is different from therapy
Caregiver support coaching is different from therapy. Coaching is action-oriented, focusing on practical strategies and empowerment, while therapy delves into deep emotional processing. Caregiver coaches do not diagnose or treat mental health disorders but provide tools for navigating challenges effectively.

- Self-care routines to keep you sane and whole
- Developing a forgiveness practice
- Using the power of the breath
- Gentle movements to center yourself
Betsy’s caregiving story
In 2016, Betsy’s world turned upside down when her two daughters became chronically ill and homebound, while in the same year, her husband needed open-heart surgery. Through persistence and hard-won practice, she learned how to keep her body, mind, and spirit healthy, centered, and grounded through the most challenging situations.
As a Caregiver Support Coach, Betsy combines her years of experience as a full-time caregiver with her training in spiritual counseling and energy work, imbuing each session with tools from her two books.
